As a seasoned VC with over 200 rounds under his belt, Mischa has seen many startups through their journey from seed to exit. An expert in both the business and transactional aspects of venture, he executes deals, sits on boards, and is involved in all deal terms, legal and regulatory discussions across the portfolio.

Mischa started his career as an entrepreneur in the Web 1.0 era, co-founding several companies, including the communications agency Styleheads, the hiphop website www.rap.de, a record label and music publishing company, a joint venture with a publishing house, etc. In the 2000s, he transitioned from entrepreneur to VC, managing IBB Ventures‘ early-stage venture fund for creative industries, before becoming a partner at innogy Ventures, where he focused on PropTech and smart city investments and oversaw all fundraising and exit transactions. Later, he helped portfolio companies of PropTech1, a European VC fund focused on real estate innovation, to solve operational challenges, advised growth companies on financing and M&A transactions, and built a significant angel investment portfolio. During his VC career, Mischa sat on numerous boards including Aupeo (acquired by Panasonic Automotive America), Sofatutor (sold to PE consortium), Moviepilot (acquired by Webedia) and many more.

As someone who has sat on both sides of the table, Mischa remains passionate about the potential of entrepreneurship to solve today’s biggest challenges and the leverage that venture capital can provide to take technology from R&D to widespread adoption. Mischa has a degree in Psychology and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
